Few Days Left Of Free Scottish Records
Happy new year all! Now we're back on schedule here is the first article of the year!
Scotland's People have given free access to members to use their Catholic records up until 23:59 on the 9 January (Saturday). You have free access to see the records in the index but not view the images attached to them as they still cost credits as per usual. It should also be noted that it is only the Catholic records that are free to search (normally 1 credit).
I don't have any 'fully' known Scottish relatives although my 7x Great Grandfather Robert Danskin, who married Grace Hope in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1772, is thought to have come from Scotland as their are no known records in Newcastle at the time. Although, many descendants (me included) of him can't seem to find any sign of him, anywhere.
I hope you have more luck than I did, trying to find your relatives in these records!
