Who Do You Think You Are?, Series Review
This week, I thought I would do a review on series 11 of the BBC program Who Do You Think You Are?
Overall, I think the series was pretty good. However, there was a bit of faffing around, like Mary Berry when she was making bread, as she is a well known cook and I think she probably knows how to make bread. Also, when Sheridan Smith was playing the banjo, as these were just lengthening it out. But these were shadowed out by the interesting bits.
My favourite episode of the series was definitely Martin Shaw's episode. In this episode; he actually went backwards and traced his ancestors, like everybody else would. This was different to many of the other episodes of the series, where they focused on one ancestor or were given one ancestor and forward in time. He also seemed quite touched by some of the information he found and was quite calm when receiving the facts about his ancestors and not getting too over exited. It was also quite a simple episode, but in this case simple definitely meant best.
My second favourite episode was Billy Connolly's. This may be because some of my family where in the forces and went to India and some even married there! He also seemed very interested in his family history and even managed to get to go to some of the places his ancestors went, over 4,500 miles away.
Also, there were some thing's that were different, for example when Brendan O'Carroll was being a detective and trying to find out who murdered his grandfather, Peter O'Carroll.
To conclude, the series was interesting and I would watch most of the episodes again, maybe missing out some bits that were not needed to make the story more interesting. And I am now waiting for series 12 to start...
