Irish Parish Records Now Online!
I apologise that I couldn't write the article for yesterday but I've freed up some time so that it can be released today instead!
You may have heard that the National Library of Ireland have released parish records on their site which are free to view. The site works a bit differently to sites like Ancestry and Find My Past, where you search for a name and a transcription comes up and you can chose to see the image of the record. This site works more like local record offices in which you find the parish you're looking for and trawl through the records for your family members.
To view the records, go onto their website, click 'Catholic Parish Registers at the NLI' (shown below with the green arrow) and search for the parish your ancestors lived, click it and select the time range you're relatives lived.

From what I can see, it's only baptisms and marriages, but seeming that most Irish records were destroyed in the Irish Civil War these records can be valuable to many genealogists with Irish ancestors.
